World Music day -2025

“World Music Day” on 21^st 06 2025 Saturday. Group songs were sung by the students.  Kruthika of grade 10 spoke about importance of music day. Competing was done by Miss. Sahaja.

Worlds Father’s day -2025

Father’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Saturday, 21st June 2025, in the school premises. The event was specially organized for the parents of Kindergarten students, who participated wholeheartedly, making the day truly memorable.

A series of fun-filled games and activities were arranged to honour the fathers and strengthen the bond between them and their children. The highlights of the day included the Balloon Game, Ribbon Ball Game, and an exciting activity called Walking on Planted Feet, which brought smiles and laughter all around.

The event not only celebrated the invaluable role fathers play in their children’s lives but also provided a joyful platform for them to engage, play, and create lasting memories with their little ones. It was indeed a heartwarming and spirited celebration that left everyone with cherished moments.

Cultural and Sports Forum Inauguration Ceremony 2025-26

The inauguration ceremony of the school’s 2025-26 Cultural and Sports Forum was held on Friday, June 20, 2026, at J.S.S. Public School, J.P. Nagar, Mysuru.

The prayer song was presented by the students of 8th and 9th standard. Afterwards, the school Principal, Smt. Archana S.N., welcomed the chief guest and everyone present. Under the guidance of Sri Ritesh PE Teacher Coordinator of Sports Activities and Mr. Priyananda M NCC Teacher, the school leader, Master Shivanandi S. of 10th standard, and sub-leader, Kum. Chaitanya Mahesh of 10th standard led all groups in a march past and offered a salute of honor to the guests. Afterwards, the school Principal administered the oath to the students. Sri S.L. Chennabasavanna, IPS Officer and Director, Karnataka Police Academy, who attended as the chief guest, spoke and elaborated on the importance of discipline for students, stating that leadership qualities are very important in students, a leader should cultivate both internal and external discipline and be socially oriented, and qualities like courage, discipline, time management, and leading one’s team should be cultivated from student life itself. He told the students that all children should become stepping stones for the creation of a glorious India.

The introduction of the leaders of various school teams was conducted by the school teacher, Smt. Mamata K.C. Finally, the vote of thanks was offered by the Vice Principal, Smt. K.A. Sunitha.
The ceremony concluded with national anthem.

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY REPORT – 2025

JSS Public School, JP Nagar, celebrated World Environment Day 2025 with a series of engaging and thought-provoking activities, all aimed at nurturing a sense of environmental responsibility and sustainable living among students. The event was designed to inspire young minds to appreciate and protect the environment through action, awareness, and creativity.

The day began with a special assembly that featured a welcome speech, a talk on the significance of the day, cultural performances, and a powerful street play themed around environmental conservation.

One of the key highlights was a “Walkathon”, where students marched through the JP Nagar locality, distributing saplings and spreading awareness through street performances, engaging with the public to promote green practices.

A wide array of class-wise activities added further vibrance to the celebration:

• Grades 1 and 2: Crafted bird feeders to show care for local wildlife.
• Grades 3 and 4: Participated in seed ball making, promoting greenery and reforestation.
• Grade 5: Embarked on a refreshing nature walk, observing and connecting with their natural surroundings.
• Grades 6 and 7: Engaged in upcycling old materials into creative and useful new items, highlighting the importance of waste reduction.
• Grade 8: Designed impactful posters on environmental themes.
• Grade 9: Compiled reflective and informative environmental journals.
• Grade 1 to10: Curated the “I Am Eco” Exhibition, showcasing innovative ideas and student-led sustainability projects.

The day’s events not only encouraged environmental awareness but also promoted creative expression and hands-on learning. The celebration served as a meaningful step toward instilling eco-conscious values in students from a young age.

JSS Public School continues its mission of shaping responsible and aware global citizens, and the World Environment Day celebration was a testament to this ongoing commitment.

In the performance of environmental awareness Jatha and play the Principal Smt. Archana S N of our school as well as the Vice Principal Smt. Sunitha K A and the teachers joined hands to make the programme a grand success.

MUN PRESS REPORT
22 & 23 August 2024

JSS Public School J.P Nagar, Mysuru hosted its very first edition of Model United Nations (MUN) on 22 August 2024 that provided a platform to students for debating, public speaking, writing, critical thinking, international affairs etc. The JSSMUN brought together over 140 delegates from JSS Public Schools to recreate the Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC), United Nations Human Rights Committee (UNHRC), Continuous Crisis Committee (CCC), All India Political Party Meet and International Press Corps(AIPPM).

The opening ceremony of as mesmerizing as it could be, befitting the grand JSSMUN. The enthralling event  started off with an amazing dance performance by the Students followed by Lighting the lamp and Welcome Address by the school’s Principal Smt. Smitha Kurup K.

The Chief Guest Sri R Mugheshappa, Director, College Education Division, JSS Mahavidyapeeta, Mysore addressed all the delegates, not only urging them to perform at the best of their abilities and enjoy the festivities around them, but also gave a riveting discourse on cause and effect. His speech greatly moved the audience and laid a zestful foundation for the next day.

Shreya J M of grade 10 and Harshini Mahesh of grade 8  hosted the programme and it was concluded with vote of thanks by Pramukh Athreya of grade 10.

Independence Day – 2024

78^TH  INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION “ Vikas Bharath @2047 ”
Date: 15-08-2023

On Thursday August 15^th 2024 JSS Public School J.P Nagar, Mysuru  celebrated 78^th Independence day at school campus with great patriotic fervour. The ceremony started at 8.15 am. Major Manjunath, Administrative Officer, 13^th KAR Battalion, NCC Mysuru was the chief guest. To  commemorate the sovereignty of our nation. The chief guest unfurled the tricolour flag and children in unison sang the flag song, followed by the National Anthem. The chief guest along with the Principal and Vice Principal received the guard of honour from the school contingent. The school principal, Smt. Smitha Kurup K welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest. Kum Harshini, of grade IX appraised us about the importance of Indian Independence. The journey of India towards ‘Vikasit Bharat’. The tiny tots of Kindergartens and students of grade 7 sang patriotic songs that awakened everyone’s patriotic feelings towards our motherland. Students of grade 8 performed a spectacular dance.

The chief guest delivered impressive speech on how various freedom fighters and soldiers sacrificed their lives for free India. He spoke about the battle of Rozang la & Bravery  of Majar Shaitan Singh. He urged the students to become an asset to the society and to never run behind the money.

The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Kum. Sharanya of grade 10 followed by  distribution of sweets

Worlds Father’s day -2024

Father’s Day was celebrated on Saturday, 15th of June, 2024 in school premises.

Vegetable Market Day
Report – Date: 27-07-202

*Vegetable Market Day – Kindergarten* was held at JSS PS JP Nagar. Our Tiny tots had a fun filled experience of selling and buying vegetables and fruits from their peers. They were excited using the weighing scale and pretending to be vegetable and fruit vendors and buyers. The enriching experience gave the students an opportunity to showcase not only their proficiency in handling money but also to display their marketing skills. It reinforced the concept of the healthy benefits of fruits and vegetables.

Motivation Talk

We feel proud to share that one of our Alumni, Chinmayee Shekhar who is currently serving as Deputy Commandant ( Operations), a Group A – Gazetted officer,  Ministry of Home Affairs took Career Orientation Session for our grade 10 students on Career Choices under UPSC. The session was quite motivating and left our  students inspired and enriched by the end of the session .

29^th Annual Day Celebrated – Report

The 29^th Annual Day celebration was held on 23/12/2023 in JSS Public School J.P.Nagar.

With divine blessing of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, Sutturu, the function was arranged in a grand manner. Sri. S.P.Manjunath, Secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeeta presided over the function. Sri. Dr P Shivaraju, Senior Officer, Karnataka Administrative Service, Mysuru was the Chief Guest. The Valedictory Address was presented by Sri. Dr. Gubbi Goodu Ramesh, Assistant Director, Department of School Education, Bengluru. The Principal Smt. SmithaKurup K presented the annual report of 2023 -24.Master Nishchal of grade 10 read out the CCA report of 2023-24. School Captain Master. Chamakya R welcomed the gathering.

Dr. P Shivaraju in his speech spoke about the importance of education in childrens’ life. He said, Education is the strength, light and life. Students should not run behind the marks. Values are more important than marks. Parents are the role models for their children. They should make the children understand their responsibilities in life. He appreciated the contribution of JSS Institutions striving for overall development of children.

Dr. Gubbi Goodu Ramesh spoke the role of moral education in a child’s life. He said that the parents must teach their children about the values and give more importance for the co-curricular activities. The society should have a positive perspective on social issues. He remembered the great personalities like G.P Kailasam and Babu Rajendra Prasad and their perspectives on success. He emphasised on instilling self-confidence among children.

Sri. S.P Manjunath sir, in his presidential address congratulated the children who won the prizes and he spoke about the  foresight of Jagadguru Sri Rajendra Mahaswamiji in providing education to the children.

Kumari Shivani G, School Vice–Captain proposed the Vote of Thanks. Roja.R, faculty member hosted the programme.

The toppers who excelled in academic performances from LKG to X were awarded and CCA prizes were distributed. The trophy and cash prize for Classical Duet Dance competition conducted during “Manasadhara Fest’’ on December 22^nd were given away to the winners. The house Trophy was bagged by the Shastri house and runner up Trophy was given to Ramanujan  house.

The theme of the cultural programme was “Life is Beautiful”. The children from LKG to X presented different dances pertaining to the theme. The children mesmerized the audience by exhibiting wonderful performances. The finale performance of Grade X enthralled the entire audience. The event was culminated by the National Anthem.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY

“Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality”.

JSS Public School, JP Nagar, Mysuru celebrated the most auspicious ceremonial occasion of the school, Investiture Ceremony on 4^th July 2022, with full zeal & zest and enthusiasm. The Investiture Ceremony is one of the momentous occasions when the school entrusts hope, faith and the mantle of responsibility to the newly appointed school cabinet. This ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly office bearers.

The chief guest, Mrs. Geetha Prasanna, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mysuru graced the occasion. The school captain and vice captain and the captains and vice captain of 4 different houses namely, Shastri, Tagore, CV Raman and Ramanuja house were conferred badges, sashes and flags.
